Following are some answers to common questions, provided so that you can get the most from Salisbury Takeaway. If you do not find the answer to your query below, please e-mail us and we will get straight back to you with a reply.

Can I make special request?
A number of restaurants/takeaways can accept special requests with your orders. Simply state your special instructions when you order, for example “not too salty”, “hot and spicy vegetarian”, “no nut additives” and they will happily accommodate your needs.

What if there is a missing order item not delivered?
In the unlikely event that your order has a missing item please contact the restaurant and let them know soon as possible. Please note if there is a missing item the restaurant will either arrange another delivery or they will offer you the same item on your next order. In either case please let us know as we continue to monitor customers feedback.

What if my address is hard to find?
If your home is difficult to find, please let the restaurant know when they confirm your order. The more detail you can provide, the quicker and easier it will be to make delivery.

How do I pay?
You make payment direct to the restaurant. This can be cash / cheque on delivery, or by credit/debit card - the restaurant will let you know which cards they accept and take your details over the telephone at time of confirmation.

Do I have to pay Salisbury Takeaway for any of the services?
No. The Salisbury Takeaway service is completely free to you. You pay the restaurant directly for your food and, if applicable, any delivery charge. Any extra delivery charges involved will be clearly communicated by the restaurant.

How do I know all the information on your website is uptodate?
Working closely with the restaurants which subscribe to our service, we keep menu details up to date on a daily basis. In the unlikely event that a discrepancy does occur, we or the restaurant will let you know as soon as possible, and give you the option to cancel your order if you are unhappy.

Why should I register with you?
Registration is entirely optional, however this feature offers many advantages for regular customers.

As a registered user you will benefit from:

  • Faster ordering: once you have set up an account you need only click to confirm your details when you logon, instead of typing them all in again at each visit.
  • When you register you become eligible immediately for Salisbury Takeaway's weekly special offers, exclusive to registered members.
  • Immediate access to your personal order history, allowing you to select a repeat order or review previous selections to help you plan a new order.

What if I change my mind and want to cancel the order?
You have the right to cancel the order if you change your mind after the confirmation e-mail has been sent to you please do this by telephoning the supplier within 10 minutes of submission.

What if I have a query about an order / delivery?
If you have any queries about an order, you should contact the restaurant direct. For your convenience their telephone number always appears in your confirmation e-mail.

What if I have comments about Salisbury Takeaway?
We are constantly striving to improve our service and maintain the highest possible standards. We take our customers' views very seriously, and welcome any suggestions and comments that you have. Please do not hesitate to e-mail us with your thoughts – good and bad – so that we can act to improve things.

Are my personal details secure?
When you place an order with Salisbury Takeaway, you are asked to provide your name, address, e-mail address and telephone details. If you become a registered user you also need to choose a user name and password.

The personal details you provide are completely secure. We do not store this information online, and will only share relevant details with the restaurant you have chosen to deliver your order. No other third party will ever be given personal information without your consent.
